So…confession: I love subscription boxes. I love the mystery, like hidden gems in a treasure box for me to explore! Things I didn’t know I needed that soon become favorites. It’s magical. Like, a little kid opening presents.
Unfortunately… or, fortunately…depending on how you look at it, I’m also pretty frugal. I love details. I love fashion but only if it meets function… can it withstand my washing machine and a cranky toddler and holding hands and cleaning up messes? Because if my clothes can’t hold up to that, they need not apply… because I have that times FIVE (kids).
I thought it’d be fun to compare 3 major boxes side-by-side. The video will give you the MOST info, but I get pretty detailed, so if you want a super short Cliff’s Notes version, here it is (see the notes below)!
Stitch Fix
- Styling Fee: $20, to be applied to your purchases. If you don’t purchase anything, it’s not refunded.
- Price Range: Approximately $50-100 is the general price range per piece
- What I love: They have a great style quiz that is VERY thorough. I like that I can ask for specific pieces, show them my pinterest boards of things I want/love, or just let them choose randomly. I like that I can tell them areas of my body I love and those I’d rather not show off. Everything is such a great value!
- What I DON’T love: I can change stylists, but I can’t really TALK to them and they don’t clarify. Some of their stylists are better than others.
- Rating: 8 out of 10!

Wantable
- Styling Fee: $20, to be applied to your purchases. If you don’t purchase anything, it’s not refunded.
- Price Range: Approximately $50-100 is the general price range per piece
- What I love: All of the pieces were very soft.
- What I DON’T love: Their styling quizzes were very generic. The box showed that the stylist didn’t know me. I don’t think I’d pay to try it again. They sent mostly slouchy type of clothes and I just felt…shapeless…in them. So not my style. While comfortable, they were definitely not cute!

Front Door Fashion
- Styling Fee: None. You do put $100 down but if you don’t spend it, they refund it.
- Price Range: Approximately 80-100 is the general price range per piece
- What I REALLY love: You get a real-life stylist that MESSAGES you! You can choose your stylist off of their profile page, but I didn’t know that and was super lucky to get paired up with Michelle…she’s amazing! They tell you tips on how to wear your hair with outfits, shoes, and where you could wear each outfit to. They sent me 8-10 FULL outfits! LOVE!
